Masinga Constituency is one of the eight constituencies in Machakos County, Kenya, created in 2009 from Yatta District. It is listed as constituency number 075 by the IEBC.

Geography

• Area: Approx. 1,411 km²
• Location: Masinga District, Machakos County
• Administrative Wards: Kivaa, Masinga Central, Ekalakala, Muthesya, Ndithini
• Sub-locations: Total of 28 sub-locations

Population & Demographics

• Total Population (2019): 148,522
• Gender Distribution: 73,519 Male, 75,001
• Age Groups:
  • 0–14 years: 54,655
  • 15–64 years: 84,100
  • 65+ years: 9,765

Education

• 65% of residents have only primary education – the highest in Machakos County
• 18% of residents have no formal education – nearly twice that of Mavoko Constituency
